Nexus Accretian Archon Steps Down

This is truly a surprising turn of events as Restless, the current Accretian-Nexus Archon steps down and passes the reigns of leadership onto the next council member in line. This act seems to be a big blow on the Empire in Nexus. It certainly makes one wonder, what will happen now?

With some bitterness underneath, the Accretian Archon expressed his dismay with his self-perceived “failure.” “Following the recent course of events, I have realized that I have failed in one of my goals. I have failed to unify the race to serve the Empire… Where there used to be fearless defenders of our rights, I now see complacent citizens of our race.”

In another statement the Accretia-Nexus Archon also expressed his disappointment with his soldiers. He felt as if he was babysitting the entire race; he felt that he has “groomed an army to become dependent on their leader…”. However, he did point out why Accretians should be self-motivated in achieving their common goals. “In the words of our old Board Archon, Shock, one person should not control the course of the Empire’s progress.” With that statement, the Accretian-Nexus Archon steps down. “I believe it is now time for another person to make his contribution to the Empire and make a mark in Accretian history”.

Amidst the fog of political clamor and skepticisms as to who will be the next Accretia-Nexus Archon, Restless leaves his brethren with hope - “ I will not forsake the Empire in full as atonement. I will still continue to serve the Empire.”-  and maybe a small promise - “Perhaps, when I have reached the next milestone, being the 1st Legion of the Empire, I will once again fight”.

Perhaps what the former Archon needs is a nice vacation from his official duties. This correspondent was given the honor of speaking with Restless and according to him, once he attains his goal of reaching level 50 and after attending to his real life issues, he wishes that the Empire of Accretia-Nexus will still welcome him back with open arms when he returns to fight again for the Empire.

Now the questions that are probably burning in the minds of citizens of Novus are: Who will be the next Accretian-Nexus Archon? For the Accretians, as what Restless said, “I believe that inside each and every one of you is a potential Accretian archon, waiting for his chance to serve the Empire.” Will they accept the challenge? Will the Holy Alliance of Cora and Bellato Federation take advantage of the political rut that the Empire of Accretia is now going through? Will there be a huge shift in the balance of power in the Novus Sector?

With the dawn of Giga 5, the political plot in the Novus Sector will truly be thicker than before.
